但維德，男，生于貴州思南。1962 年生于思南山城。結業于中央文化和旅游管理干部學院“高級文學創作師，專業繪畫類”。詩人、作家、書法家、畫家，國家一級美術師，中國葡萄王。亞洲書畫家協會副主席、國寶級藝術大師、省美協副主席、國際美術家聯合會副主席、《中國藝壇》總編、中國企業文化總編社長、《華人》雜志副總編、湖湘文化研究會副會長、江西將軍書畫院藝術顧問、廣州大學客座教授，德藝雙馨人民藝術家，全國書畫藝術委員會副主席。
他的書畫作品，有文人畫氣質，畫中有詩，詩中有畫，形成了詩、書畫三位一體。在水墨畫上他追求一種文人畫的境界，“書畫是一個人綜合素質的體現，只有具備豐富的文化綜合素質，才能把書畫融入一體達到較高的境界?！弊x他的詩、書、畫及我的感受是氣勢磅礴，有瀟灑自如之美。國際美術聯合會主席陳柏堅看了但維德的作品《百里葡萄畫》，他欣然在畫上題字，“百里葡萄畫，是一幅不可多得的神品。”2016 年其作品被中國好版權被評為 1 銀 3 優的獎項，其藝術成就是中國的最高獎項。2017 年授予“紅色文化傳承人”。作品入編到“一帶一路中歐意象”中國當代書畫名家作品集“改革開放 40 周年”“中華文化復興踐行者”2019 被授予“最具收藏價值書畫家”但維德畫家，現人稱為“葡萄之王，”行內人評價有大師風范，書法以正為變，自成一家，功夫在書畫之外。十八大人民日報新聞戰線專題報道《葡萄王但維德》藝術成就、十六屆亞運會作品被國家作為永久性收藏。其作品多次被國家印制成各種郵票，成為國家名片。并且在歐洲印制成郵票郵集冊。
其作品被中國紅十字協會，基金會，在汶川地震，玉樹地震，西南大旱災進行義賣，所得款項全部捐贈。作品收入《中國美術通史》，《近當代中國美術史》，《百年風云，黨躍中華一一新時代中華好兒》，其及郵集郵冊，郵票《文化強民族強》，《百年歷程，中國道路》，《新時代杰出文藝工作者一一國禮：人民藝術家》，《江山多嬌一一紀念偉人誕辰一百三十周年》，《慶祝中國人民解放軍建軍 95 周年一一喜迎中國共產黨第二十次全國代表大會一大型文獻類珍藏郵冊》，一一等等。及其美術書法作品刋印，并獲得獎狀，獎杯，功勛章。制成黃金版畫。其作品被國內外書畫愛好者收藏，為國爭光一一。但維德書畫藝術授到家傳，由其是父親但思忠言傳身教，從小受到嚴格教育，終身獲益。感謝我的老師們的精心培育有楊之光，羅鏡泉，熊宗江，劉文西，陳柏堅，李宗繁等等大師的指教。自成一家終得心源，書畫同源，品自高，心正人正，天地相通，丹青繪出山川美，碩果年豐妙筆生。2021 年建黨 100 周年之際被中國書法家協會，中國美術家協會，中國人民書畫藝術研究院，中國華夏國墨書畫院，表彰金質獎章《德藝雙馨人民藝術家》。
2022 年 孫曉云題字被國禮特供藝術家評審委員會，國禮文化市場調查委員會“為中國傳統文化傳承與發展做出卓越貢獻”國禮藝術家網特聘為‘國禮藝術家特邀顧問’并授予“國寶級藝術大師”榮譽稱號。
2023 年中華人民共和國建國 74 周年受到表彰獲得鍍金獎章《國家棟梁 . 時代楷?！S德》。
2023 年八一建軍節被國家授予鍍金獎章《大國軍威 . 中國軍魂—但維德》。

Dan Weide, male, was born in Sinan, Guizhou Province. He was born in 1962 in the mountain city of Sinan. He completed a course at the Central Institute of Culture and Tourism Management in the "senior literary creation and professional painting" program. He is a poet, writer, calligrapher, and painter. He is a national first-class artist and known as the "Grape King of China".
He is the vice chairman of the Asian Calligraphers and Painters Association, a national treasure-level art master, the vice chairman of the Guizhou Artists Association, the vice chairman of the International Federation of Artists, the editor-in-chief of Chinese Art Circles, the editor-in-chief and president of Chinese Corporate Culture, the deputy editor-in-chief of Chinese People magazine, the vice president of the Huxiang Culture Research Association, the art consultant of the Jiangxi Generals' Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and a guest professor at Guangzhou University. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China in 2021, he was awarded a gold medal as a "People's Artist with Both Moral Integrity and Artistic Excellence" by the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the Chinese Artists Association, the Chinese People's Academy of Calligraphy and Painting Arts, and the Chinese Huaxia Guomo Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
In 2022, with an inscription by Sun Xiaoyun, he was recognized by the National Gift Special Supply Artist Evaluation Committee and the National Gift Culture Market Survey Committee for "making outstanding contributions to the inheritance and development of Chinese traditional culture".
